Donna Gohlke

About the Presenter

Donna Gohlke has been with Tarrant County College since 2009 as an Academic Advisor on South Campus. She also served as the Tech Prep Advisor for South Campus simultaneously for two years.

Donna was one of the core members of the PASS team to spearhead the development of the PASS initiative on South Campus. She provides assistance and training for new employees and faculty super advisors in the capacity of lead advisor. Donna displays her passion in working with this population of students and feels it is her purpose. She has the understanding of the many struggles of the first generation students, as she was also a first generation along with her two brothers.

Donna is the liaison to Math Department on South Campus, and has been instrumental in training employees on the Math Pathways on South Campus. She is serving as Senator on the Faculty Association from 2015 – 2018.

Donna previously worked for Hill College and was the Director for Career Services for the Carl Perkins Grant from 2004 – 2009. In this position, she wore many hats providing or seeking services for this population of students from advising, transportation and daycare assistance, career services, tutoring and many other services. She also briefly served as Interim Director of Counseling.

Donna is honored to have received the “Pickle Award” in 2008 as the Outstanding Student Service Employee Award. She graduated from Tarleton State University with a B.S. degree.

Donna has been married to 35 plus years to her high school sweetheart. She has joy of earning the title of Oma with two wonderful grandchildren. Donna is excited to share Tarrant County College South Campus PASS Team's experience in an interactive format
