About the Presenter

Rosemarie Rodriguez Hammon has been in the Tarrant County College (TCC) family since 1998 where she started as a part-time Counselor. She earned her bachelor's (B.A. in Public Justice/Sociology) degree from St. Mary’s University and master's (M.A. in Counseling) degree at Sam Houston State University. She has been in various TCC positions: enrollment specialist, tech prep advisor, counselor, academic advisor, adjunct faculty, coordinator of dual credit, coordinator of special services and assistant director of Advising and Counseling.

Rosemarie has been recognized both at the state and national level as a core team member of the following awards: National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) - Outstanding Advising Program Award 2008, New Student Group Advisement, Texas Higher Education Coordination Board (THECB) - STAR Award 2006, SureStart program and National Counsel of Instructional Administrators (NCIA) - Exemplary Initiatives Competition Curriculum Innovation Award 2005, SureStart program.

Rosemarie is married to her college sweetheart, John Hammon, who is a high school counselor. They have two children- Carmen and Jack.
