John Farrin

About the Presenter

J. Scott Farrin has taught English Composition for nearly 30 years, at Southwest Texas State, then at The University of New Orleans, where he taught for 18 years. He now teaches as a Professor of English at Collin College. He has thought and written about style as a model for teaching composition for some time and has published the chapter "When Their Voice is Their Problem: Using Imitation to Teach the Classroom Dialect" in a book on teaching style titled Refiguring Style: Possibilities for Writing Pedagogy.
