New models of education are bringing unprecedented competition to the traditional models. We are shifting from "teacher-centered" to "student -centered education" and engaging them by connecting the curriculum with real life issues. We have sold ourselves into a fast food (industrial) model of education, and it's impoverishing our spirit and our energies as much as fast food is depleting our physical bodies. We have to move to a model that is based more on principles of agriculture. The idea of content-only curriculum in any classroom will not be effective. Engagement rules the day. We are at the bleeding edge of education innovations. Are we taking advantage of it?
