Session Description

Join us for an interactive discussion on practical tips to maximize students' learning. We will talk about engaging students in the classroom such that their learning continues throughout the course and beyond. Our time will include teaching strategies, brain science, use of feedback and time for idea sharing.

Session Goals

From the presentation, attendees will: -Gain practical tips for student engagement -Share best practices -Engage in strategies -Learn more about brain science -Determine how to implement ideas into their classes

Full Description

During the session, ideas will be modeled as well as discussed. Participants will be asked to share stories and best practices so all can learn. The topics will focus around engaging students in the classroom to help increase participation and retention. Some of the time will be spent discussing what research says about how brain development can effect the ways students learn. Additionally, we will talk about ways to incorporate feedback into our courses to continually strengthen our courses.
