Session Description
The University of North Texas is handing students the ability to reflect on, contextualize, and digitally represent their learning to potential employers with the Connect E-portfolio. In this session, we will demonstrate how students contextualize curricular and co-curricular experiences to connect their campus, community, and career through the e-portfolio.

- Present the theory behind using the e-portfolio to contextualize curricular and co-curricular experiences through reflection.
- Discuss the benefits of a student-focused, student-driven system.
- Discuss the difficulty of contextualization at scale and the need for culture-building.
Full Description
The University of North Texas is handing students the ability to reflect on, contextualize, and digitally represent their learning to potential employers with the Connect E-portfolio. In this session, we will demonstrate how students contextualize curricular and co-curricular experiences to connect their campus, community, and career through the e-portfolio. Presenters will demonstrate the Connect E-portfolio and discuss the theory behind building a culture of reflective practice throughout the university. We will also connect the idea of contextualization at scale to the need for a system the students find valuable and meaningful. Providing a valuable tool to the students enables Career Connect to be student-driven.
