The Woman Question
Session Description
A conversation in which we discuss what it might mean to be a hero/ine (as well as the pedagogical advantages and historical pitfalls of the term) and learn about some female heroes in early modern European history, including Saint Bridget of Sweden, Christine de Pizan, and Elizabeth Montagu. We also consider how and why to talk about “women’s history” in the first place.
